AltED runs three complementary programmes through two chapters — Kolkata (since 2022) and Bengaluru (since 2026):
- School Programme — a curriculum-based MIL programme for grades 6–8, delivered with teachers who become co-facilitators.
- Civil Society Programme — capacitating CSOs and community leaders to run MIL in their own constituencies.
- Satyasodhak Fellowship — a two-year fellowship building young media-literacy practitioners.
AltED is one of very few organisations in India running long-term, curriculum-based media literacy programmes in schools.
Schools and organisations can invite AltED to work with them.
